“Praise Him with the timbrel and dance.” - Psalms 150:4

Stepping is another form of worshipping the Lord. Stepping consists of moving the arms, clapping the hands and stomping of feet to a rhythm or beat. Stepping is usually the male form of dancing and is usually done in a group.

The mission of the Step Team is to assist those youth in answering the call to step for Jesus. The Step Team provides training and knowledge to an environment where stepping is accepted and welcomed as part of the worship experience.

The purpose of the Step Team is to glorify our Heavenly Father in praise through stepping. It also teaches our young boys that God can be glorified by anyone as long as their heart is in it.

The Step Team is composed of youth ages 5-12 years old. Antioch members and the community are welcomed to join. Teens are welcome to form a teen step team but they must be a member of Antioch Baptist Church and actively attends Church School or Bible Study. The members must be in regular attendance in the fellowship at Antioch. Members must be able to listen, follow directions, and have a willing spirit to step for the Lord.

The Step Team ministers at various church services and church programs at Antioch as well as at other churches.
